Looking for Family Fun? The Spooner Rodeo Is Coming Up

If you're looking for a family-friendly event, the Spooner rodeo is coming up next weekend. It's been going on since 1954 and continues to draw a crowd.

The event kicks off on July 10 and continues through the weekend. While rodeos are the main gig, you can also catch live music, a parade and BBQ by the Lions Club.

Eyewitness News talked with the rodeo's queen and princess Thursday who said there's nothing else like it.

"It's a huge event for the community," Spooner Rodeo Queen Mckayla Olson said. "We get cowboys from all over the U.S. and other countries. Saturday night always sells out."

"I just like how family-oriented it is and just to be able to watch all the competitors," Spooner Rodeo Princess Emily Foust said.

General admission is $16 for adults and $8 for kids. Family night is on July 10 and two adults and five kids can get in for $32.
