The U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on contraceptive coverage is still making waves in Duluth.

A group gathered to protest outside Hobby Lobby on Wednesday morning. They said they were protesting the decision, handed down Monday.

The ruling allows craft chain Hobby Lobby and cabinet makers Conestoga Wood to refuse to cover certain contraceptive methods for their employees, based on their religious beliefs.

Protest organizer Laura Gapske said she respects that, but believes it violates the female employees of Hobby Lobby.

"I'd like to see it that men and women both have the same insurance plans and that they're able to access whatever medical needs that their doctors say are right for them and that they feel personally is the right choice for their body," Gapske said.

She said that as women begin to feel the repercussions of the ruling, she hopes more of them will begin to take a stand against it.
