The Lincoln Park community gathered for their second annual summer celebration on Thursday.

The event is put on by Northern Expressions Arts Collective and Lincoln Park Fair Food Access. Thursday's celebration was at Harrison Park from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to a free community picnic and live music, the event served as the grand opening for the Lincoln Park Farmer's market.

Organizers said the goal of the festivities was to celebrate the progress of food access in Lincoln Park.
