Duluth Wins Outside Magazine's 'Best Town' Contest

Duluthians have been "voting Duluth" for weeks, and on Sunday it paid off.

Duluth was listed as the winner of Outside Magazine's best outdoor town contest on Sunday. At last check, Duluth had more than 66,000 votes, leading Provo, Utah, by about 12,000.

The final round of voting went started June 9 and ended Sunday, June 15. The contest started with 64 towns total.

    Prosecutors have charged a Grand Rapids man with murder in his wife's drug overdose death. Terry Wayne Richards, 49, appeared in Itasca County court Monday on a third-degree murder charge.
