Hundreds of people gathered in Cloquet Monday for the annual Memorial Day Wiffleball Tournament.

The 10th annual event started at 7:30 a.m. Thirty-two teams, made up of 132 people, played 63 games throughout the day.

Player Aaron Hawley told Eyewitness News "one of my students at Lake Superior College told me about the tournament. It's kind of a tradition here in Cloquet and sounded like a lot of fun...probably haven't played a game like this in quite a while so it's fun to get the competitive juices going again."

Tyler Korby, a tournament organizer, said "when Memorial Day comes around here in Cloquet we're ready for wiffleball that's for sure."

Korby said it takes about 50 hours to prepare for the event every year.
