Veterans in Douglas County got to explore all the resources available to them under one roof on Tuesday.

The University of Wisconsin Superior put on a veterans expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They invited veterans to browse resources from the university and all over the Twin Ports.

The president of the UWS Veterans Club, Bradley Roy, said men and women transitioning out of the military sometimes have a hard time finding the people and organizations that can help them.

"For people that have been in 20 years, that's all they knew," he said. "Every base ... was set up the same way. Now, 'I don't know where any of that is, I don't know the right people, I don't know who to talk to.' And that's really what these resources are for, is to get people to talk to the right people and bringing them all together at one location."

The expo included workshops about improving resumes and finding work, and booths offering health services.
