The Northland almost made it.  Much of the snow had melted. Then Mother Nature had to knock us upside the head with another spring snowstorm on April 16. 

It started slow, but as the Eyewitness StormTeam said it would, it picked up in intensity during the afternoon. Snow and strong winds made for a difficult evening commute.

    A man attempted to break out of the St. Louis County Jail on Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office. The suspect was being brought to jail after allegedly trying to break into a church in Duluth. The attempted escape happened at about noon.

    A vote Tuesday by shareholders of Cliffs Natural Resources could change the way the company is shaped. Casablanca Capital, an investment manager and a large shareholder, says they believe their six nominees were voted onto the board, which would give them a majority.
