Research being done by Twin Ports college students is helping area businesses make better decisions.

Over 250 business and economic leaders came together for the semi-annual Regional Economic Indicators Forum at the DECC Tuesday morning.

National Bank of Commerce CEO Steven Burgess tells us the economic research will have a new focus every six months, dealing with the most pressing issues of the region.

Burgess said, "We can make better-informed decisions about business expansion and growth, and identify synergies and find pockets of need, and fill those needs, and hopefully get some economic prosperity going".

Burgess tells us communities stretching from the Canadian border into Wisconsin will benefit from this research.

A free report on the findings will be made available on the National Bank of Commerce website later this week.
