Crews responded to a fire at the old Staver Foundry in Virginia on Sunday.

Virginia Fire Captain Kevin Poffs said the fire was reported at about 2:40 p.m. He said eight fire departments responded to the foundry at 100 10th Street South, where there is no business currently operating.

Poffs said it took hours to get the fire under control, and he expected crews to be there late into the night working on salvage and checking for fire extensions.

There is still no word on a cause or on injuries, but Poffs said the fire will be investigated.
