Another candidate has formally joined the race to replace retiring Rep. Tom Huntley (DFL-Duluth).

Republican Becky Hall formally announced her candidacy Tuesday afternoon.

Hall ran for a seat on the St. Louis County Board in 2012 and is also active with the Northern Liberty Alliance, a Duluth tea party group.

"It's wonderful to see the support as I'm out there talking to them," said Hall. "Their concerns are about jobs and the economy and I think our message is really resonating with folks in my neighborhood."

Hall is running against Donna Bergstrom for the Republican endorsement in the house district 7A race.

DFL candidates vying for the 7A seat include Gary Anderson, Linda Krug, and Pete Johnson.
