Duluth-based Cirrus Aircraft is reporting that its market share grew to an all-time high of 37 percent in 2013 as it experienced the most aircraft deliveries in five years.

The company delivered 276 new aircraft in 2013, the most since 2008.  Deliveries were up 10 percent from 2012.

"The key driver to this past year's outstanding performance was Cirrus owners' and pilots' strong response to Generation 5 - which was introduced in early 2013 with the new capability to carry 200 lbs more than any previous Cirrus airplane," said Todd Simmons, Cirrus Executive Vice President Sales, Marketing and Customer Support in a press release.

Simmons said the company's customer base expanded in 2013 as corporate operators added a Cirrus to their fleets and training partners, including the Royal Saudi Air Force, upgraded to new Cirrus aircraft.
