Hill City Man Killed in Logging Accident

A Hill City-area man was killed in a logging incident Saturday.

According to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office, Westley Catlin, 46, was cutting trees in Hill Lake Township when a tree he cut apparently hit another tree, which struck Catlin.

Catlin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office is investigating the incident.  The office said autopsy results are pending from the Ramsey county Medical Examiner's Office.
