Water service in the City of Tower was disrupted Friday due to a major water main break.

In a posting on its Facebook page, the city asked residents to avoid using clothes washers, dishwashers, and anything that uses a large amount of water.

As of about 8:00 p.m., a new post said the water was officially turned back on, and that repairs would be made on Wednesday.

The post said water could be turned off before then.
