Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Short Stop Gas Station on the 2200 block of First Avenue in Hibbing.

Authorities said the gas station attendant reported the incident at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday. The attendant said a man with a black hooded sweatshirt and a bandana around his face brandished a handgun and demanded cash.

The suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the report. Authorities said the attendant was not hurt, and the suspect is still at large.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and wearing light blue jeans, white athletic shoes, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 218-263-3601 or 911.
