Duluth Police continue to investigate an armed robbery of the Shanty Bottle Shop on Monday.

Public Information Officer Jim Hansen said they responded to the shop on the 1200 block of E. Fourth Street at about 9 p.m. on Monday. Initial investigation revealed that a man had shown a knife and demanded money, according to police.

The suspect left on foot and was last seen headed south on 13th Avenue East, according to Hansen. Police said no one was injured, and this incident is not believed to be connected with the armed robbery of the ILF Smartphone Clinic the same night.

Police said the suspect had an unknown amount of cash with him when he left. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
