Chisholm's McDonald Reaches Milestone 1000th Win

Hibbing, Minn. - Bob McDonald was already Minnesota's all-time wins leader in boy's basketball and now, he has reached 1,000 career wins. According to the National Federation of State High Schools Associations' website, McDonald is just the 13th boy's basketball coach to reach 1,000 wins.

McDonalds' Chisholm Bluestreaks defeated Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 61-55 on the first day of the eight team Hibbing Holiday Tournament in Hibbing, Minnesota. Chisholm lead 34-29 at halftime.

McDonald is in his 59th and final season as a head coach as he announced before the season started that this would be his last one. This is his 53rd season with Chisholm, where he has guided the program to three state titles. He also has coached at McGregor and Barnum.
