The Bentleyville Tour of Lights display in Duluth's Bayfront Park has extended its season after weather closed the event on three nights this month.

Organizers announced Monday that the event will continue through Saturday, Jan. 4, one week later than originally scheduled.  Organizers say they received many requests to stay open longer after heavy snow forced Bentleyville to close twice during the first week of the month and extreme cold forced another closure the following week.

A fireworks show has been moved to Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.

Visitors will be able to continue dropping off donations of nonperishable food items and new unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army at Bentleyville through Jan. 4.  More information is available at bentleyvilleusa.org.
