Joshua Littlewolf, a Duluth man convicted of murder after representing himself at trial, has been sentenced to forty years in prison.
The sentence is the maximum possible for Littlewolf's second-degree murder conviction. A jury found him guilty of killing Joshua Olson, who was found Olson dead in Duluth's Frances Skinner Apartment Building in April of 2012.
Olson's father spoke at Friday's sentencing hearing and pleaded for the judge to deliver the maximum sentence. Littlewolf spoke but did not offer an apology.
Security was high in the crowded courtroom during Friday's hearing. About ten members of the victim's family attended.
