MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says he won't run for a third term.
The Republican made the announcement in a statement Monday. He did not say what his plans are after leaving office in 2014.
Van Hollen was first elected to statewide office in 2006. He had been district attorney in Bayfield and Ashland counties prior to becoming attorney general.
He says he has worked hard to eliminate a backlog in DNA testing at the state crime laboratories and fight crimes against children.
