A Duluth hotel is taking a step into the future of auto technology, announcing an addition to their list of services Tuesday morning.
"I am pleased to announce that we are now duluth's largest full service hotel, and now Duluth's first electric car charging hotel," Gerry Goldfarb, the Holiday Inn general manager, told a crowd in the hotel parking ramp.
The hotel has installed two new electric car charging stations. They can charge up to four cars at a time. With the use of hybrid and electric cars growing, Goldfarb said it made sense for the hotel to move forward with the project. If demand increases, he said they will add more stations.
Charging will be free for hotel guests and two dollars an hour for everyone else.
