Pets are often considered part of the family, but in Duluth there is only one park for dogs to play.
A group got together in Duluth Wednesday trying to change that. The Duluth Dog Park Task Force met at the Lafayette Community Recreation Center to talk about the possibility of two more parks in the city.
Some said having only one in West Duluth makes it hard for dog lovers in other parts of town.
"I think Duluth is so long and so spread out," Denette Lynch said. "I think there should be more dog parks in central and eastern so that it's more convenient for people."
One park being considered is Observation Park on West Third Street. The other is Russell Square on Pitt Street.
