A Duluth company set up camp in downtown Duluth Friday, creating a temporary park in the middle of all that concrete.

Loll Designs participated in a nationwide PARK(ing) Day on Superior Street, outside of Zeitgeist Arts Café. They joined others across the country who set up "parks" in parking spaces on Friday. The goal was to draw attention to the need for more urban open space, and spark some debate about how urban space is used.

Loll Designs Co-Owner Greg Benson said it's important to think about how we develop our downtown areas.

"A lot of cities are congested with traffic and green space is really hard to find," he said.

Benson said they got a permit for the space, and the City of Duluth was helpful with their mini park.
