After the results of Tuesday's primary vote in Duluth, 4th District School Board Candidate Justin Perpich conceded, and thrown his support behind first-place finisher David Bolgrien.
Perpich finished third in unofficial vote totals, in a race where the top two candidates moved onto November's election.
"I have a passion to serve, I will always be a voice for positive change for our West Duluth Neighborhoods and our community as a whole. I have had the chance to get out and meet many neighbors, but unfortunately things didn't work out this time," said Perpich in a statement Tuesday night.
"We want to say thank you to all of the people in West Duluth who supported our campaign," said Perpich. "We also want to say thank you to everyone who has knocked on doors, made phone calls, and donated their time and money to our campaign."
Perpich ended the statement by asking his supporters to now throw their support behind Dave Bolgrien.
"I have gotten to know Dave throughout this campaign and believe he is now the best choice in the 4th district. Dave knows the West Duluth Schools and will be a voice of reason on our School Board."
