A man is in jail after allegedly crashing a car and then stealing the vehicle of a person who stopped to help.
The incident happened in the 4300 block of Martin Road near Duluth on Saturday night. Witnesses who stopped to help say a vehicle rolled over and the driver ran off into the woods.
The driver allegedly returned to the scene, stole a Good Samaritan's vehicle, and fled. A sheriff's deputy stopped the stolen vehicle a short time later and arrested the 24-year-old suspect without incident.
The suspect was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and then taken to the St. Louis County Jail.
