All the tourists in town for Tall Ships Duluth that stop by the Glensheen Mansion will be able to do something they've never done before: take pictures inside.

Glensheen Marketing Director Lucie Amundsen says that photography had always been banned because it slowed down tours. Amundsen also says that flash photography was believed to damage artifacts. Amundsen says "that point is moot" since the items are already kept in the more-damaging natural light.

However, The photography ban may be applied on an as-needed basis if tours begin moving too slowly.
