A Duluth city councilor is asking voters to give him another term.
On Monday, fourth district councilor Garry Krause filed the paperwork to run for re-election. Krause has served six years on the council, with a two-year break between terms.
Howie Hanson is also running in the fourth district. Filing closes Tuesday afternoon.
There were no filings for the other council races on this fall's ballot, the second district seat and two at-large seats. Incumbent Patrick Boyle is the only candidate to have filed so far in the second district.
At-large candidates include Zack Filipovich, Eric Meyer, Barb Russ, Ray (Skip) Sandman, Ryan Stauber, and Ray Whitledge III. The two incumbents whose seats are on the ballot, Dan Hartman and Jim Stauber, are not seeking re-election.
A September primary will be held in the at-large race. The top four finishers will advance to November.
