One man is hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in rural Duluth Thursday afternoon. The crash happened at 4:19 p.m. at the intersection of W Tischer Rd. and Washburn Rd.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says that a pickup truck ran a stop sign, and struck a passenger car.
"They tried to avoid each other, but could pull far enough away," said Ryon Morgando, captain of the Lakewood Fire Dept. "They ended up colliding and doing a 'Y.' One in the ditch and one up Washburn."
The driver of the passenger car was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for what Morgando described as a "broken injury." The driver of the pickup truck also suffered minor injuries.
Morgando says that fines are pending for the pickup truck driver.
