WDIO's own Jessica Danielson had a visit Sunday from ABC's Nightline.
At age 19, Danielson, who works in the Eyewitness News production department, was diagnosed with restrictive cardio myopathy. After a rare double transplant last year, she's living with a fully functioning heart and liver.
Danielson was featured on Nightline right before the transplant, and their photographer came to the WDIO studios Sunday to see how she was doing one year later. She said being on national TV has given her a way to help others.
"It's really a cool thing to know, and get feedback from, a lot of people that I have in some way either inspired them or touched them in some way," she said, "or helped people make the decision to be an organ donor."
Danielson will be featured on Nightline this Thursday, July 4.
