Authorities Seek Driver in Crash that Injured Man, Killed Dog

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is searching for the driver in a one-vehicle crash that injured a passenger and killed a dog.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. Saturday on the Osborne Road, fifteen miles north of Virginia in the Lake Leander area.

Ross Anderson, 28, of Virginia is hospitalized in Virginia, and the sheriff's office believes he was a passenger in the vehicle.  His condition is not known.  Ross' dog died in the crash.

The sheriff's office says the person believed to have been driving the vehicle has not been located despite repeated contacts with his family by officers.  The man's name was not released.
