More than 50 people lined up at the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center Friday morning to get tickets for the Bob Dylan concert next month.

He'll be playing at Bayfront Festival Park with Wilco, My Morning Jacket and the Richard Thompson Electric Trio.

James Rivard, of Duluth, was the first in line. While no one camped overnight, he showed up at 6 o'clock in the morning. "If it was a concert somewhere else or in the Twin Cities I wouldn't go. I wouldn't get the tickets."

Dylan was born in Duluth and raised in Hibbing.

The concert is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9. When it was announced Monday afternoon, Dan Russell, the DECC's executive director, said the capacity of Bayfront is 12,500. He told us there was potential for the show to sell out.

If you haven't purchased tickets yet, they are available for $68 at the DECC and through TICKETMASTER.

The DECC has an 8 ticket limit and is not accepting checks.
