A pastor and some parishioners from a Duluth church will be heading down to the Oklahoma region devastated by tornados.

Pastor Dan Stone, of Jesus is Life Global Ministries, says that he and maybe one or two others from the church will head to the Oklahoma City Area on Monday.

That area has seen two sets of tornadoes recently, including the widest tornado ever recorded at 2.6 miles, causing billions of dollars in destruction and dozens of deaths.

"Head down and help out anyway we can," Stone said Wednesday. "Not just with monetary things, but also if we can help in anyway... Pray for people and also pray for the emotional needs as well"

Stone says if anyone in the communities wants to send anything along with the group, such as bottled water or canned food, to bring them by the Jesus is Life bookstore in the Village Mall.

10% of all sales at the bookstore through Saturday will be donated to the relief effort as well.
