A downtown Duluth hotel closed since March opened to guests again Thursday after more than $3 million in repairs.

The Radisson closed after a water line break flooded parts of the hotel's basement. About 80 guests were sent to nearby hotels.

The hotel was originally scheduled to open again in May but the date was pushed back several times. General Manager Jeff Briner told Eyewitness News it took longer than expected to get equipment needed for repairs.

But now that it has been done, Briner said "we look forward to a great business we've got a lot of rooms booked a lot of functions and meetings. We have a wedding this weekend, and a wedding next weekend so we're excited," he said.

Grandma's Marathon and the Tall Ships Festival aren't too far out either.

Briner said closing was an inconvenience to guests and staff but said everyone understood it was out of their hands.
