Governor Scott Walker will return to northwest Wisconsin this weekend to fish Lake Namakagon after missing out on the annual Governor's Fishing Opener in early May.
Cable, Wis. and Lake Namakagon hosted the 2013 Governor's Fishing Opener. Icy weather kept Gov. Walker's plane from landing and he was unable to attend the opener at Lakewoods Resort on Lake Namakagon.
According to the Governor's office, Gov. Walker will arrive in Cable, Wis. Friday night and fish Lake Namakagon early Saturday morning. The governor will also meet with a youth fishing group and discuss the recently announced Wisconsin Walleye Initiative.
