A 26-year-old Duluth man is in custody Wednesday night after police said he stole money and lottery tickets from a gas station.
Police responded to a robbery call at the Highland BP on East Central Entrance just before three o'clock Wednesday morning, according to a news release.
Police said the suspect entered the store wearing all black and a ski mask, grabbed the clerk by the shirt and demanded money. They said the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and lottery tickets.
Later Wednesday morning, police said they located and arrested the suspect at the Little Store on the 3800 block of Trinity Road.
Police said the suspect has a record of convictions in Minnesota dating back to 2007, which include theft, DWI, fleeing in a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
The suspect is being held in the St. Louis County Jail pending formal charges.
