5,000 and Counting for Anders Broman

Duluth, Minn. - He scored more than his average and he has now scored more than 5,000 points as Anders Broman put in 49 in Lakeview Christian Academy's 101-83 win over Fond du Lac Ojibwe in the Section 7A Quarterfinals.
Minnesota's All-Time Leading Scorer came into Saturday needing 24 points to reach 5,000. According to MaxPreps, he averaged 42.3 points in 27 previous games this season, making Broman the nation's leading scorer for 2012-2013. The senior has committed to play college basketball at Division One South Dakota State next season.
Before he ends his prep career, he'd like to do the one thing he hasn't done yet...win a state championship.
