A.J. Marshall loves to snowmobile. But his three Ski-Doo sleds were stolen about a month and a half ago. Right before we got some great snow.
He said the three sleds were on a trailer outside of his parents home in Gnesen Township, ready to be brought to Beaver Bay for a tune-up.
One morning, the parents woke up and the sleds and trailer were gone.
"It's unreal. I mean, you feel violated. And I haven't been able to go out as much this season, because I don't have my sleds, so that's upsetting," Marshall said.
They were able to recover the trailer, which was found a week later, thanks to help from social media.
St. Louis County is investigating. The county confirmed another snowmobile was taken from nearby Normanna Township just a few days ago. Marshall had heard about that theft.
"We're a close-knit neighborhood out here in rural Duluth. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Lock up your sleds, take the keys inside," he warned others.
Another trailer was taken earlier this year from the same area, but was found on the internet and recovered.
