    Police have officially closed their investigation into last year's disappearance of a 24-year-old UMD graduate whose body was found nearly six months later in central Minnesota. Investigators determined that ex-boyfriend David Roe shot Mandy Matula in an Eden Prairie church parking lot before burying her body at a park near St. Cloud.

    A southern Wisconsin man is hospitalized after a boating accident on a Bayfield County lake Thursday afternoon.  58-year-old Thomas Wincek of Fond du Lac was struck by a propeller after being ejected from the boat.
