People in Superior waited for hours in freezing temperatures for a chance to hear from Vice President Joe Biden. Biden spoke at Superior Middle School around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and many people left fired up after the Vice President's speech.
"I thought he did a wonderful job," Jane Naeyaert, from Superior, said. "I came today just to want to experience being in the room with the Vice President of the United States. He had a lot to say; he said some things that I haven't heard before that I enjoyed."
People started lining up outside the school around 9:30 a.m. Once the secret service started letting people in, the process was a long one. K-9 units were patrolling the area and every person had to pass through a metal detector.
Once people were inside, the crowd was packed with 1,100 people from all over both Wisconsin and Minnesota. We talked to one supporter, Wally Bruneau, who drove all the way from Hurley, Wis. for the speech.
"We need Obama back, to finish the job he started," Bruneau said. "We trust him, and we know Biden is a good man as well."
