One of the candidates on the presidential ticket is coming to the Northland, right before the election.

The Obama campaign announced Tuesday that Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Superior on Friday afternoon.  Biden will speak at Superior Middle School, 3626 Hammond Ave., at 1 p.m.

The event will be free and open to the public but tickets are required.  Tickets can be picked up at Obama For America campaign offices in Superior (1810 Belknap St.), Duluth (210 West Superior St.), and Ashland (316 West Main St.) starting Wednesday at 9 a.m.  Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and only one ticket will be given per person.

Wisconsin, according to political analysts, is a swing state this time around and both campaigns have been hitting the state hard.  On Friday, Biden will also campaign in Beloit, which is not far from Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan's hometown of Janesville.
