Itasca County authorities say they're conducting interviews Tuesday, as they investigate the death of Nashwauk man.
In a news release, the Itasca County Sheriff's Office said the victim's been identified as 18-year-old Steven Shields-Moreno.
Authorities said they found Shields-Moreno unresponsive early Sunday morning at a party in rural Balsam Township at a hunting camp. The victim was then transported to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation isn't complete, according to authorities, because nearly 100 people attended the party.
Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office, and suspect evidence from the autopsy will aid in the investigation.
Preliminary findings show alcohol and exposure might have played a role in Shields-Moreno's death.
