Level Three Offender Moving to Hibbing

The Hibbing Police Department wants the public to know about a Level Three Sex Offender moving to town.
Police said David Michael Schmidt is moving to the 1600 block of 7th Avenue East in Hibbing. Schmidt has a history of possession of child pornography showing juvenile males. He also has a past history of sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy.
Schmidt has served his sentence and is not wanted by police.
However, there will be a community notification meeting on October 29 at 7 p.m. in the lower level of Hibbing's Memorial Building in the Little Theater.
