Construction on a new apartment building on Woodland Avenue in Duluth is underway, and Wednesday morning, city and project leaders celebrated with an official groundbreaking.

Mark Lambert, with Summit Management, said "we kicked off [construction] about a month ago and we've had great progress and wanted to get everyone together celebrate."

The new building will be called the Bluestone Lofts, and will house about 300 students. Lambert says the project will cost more than $20 million, and will be finished next summer.

He says potential residents can expect rent between $500 and $800 per month.
