Former Ainsworth Plant Sells to Michigan Company

There's good economic news for the Grand Rapids area. A Marquette, Michigan-based company is buying the former Ainsworth plant property.
According to the Itasca Economic Development Corporation, J.M. Longyear, LLC is the buyer. They plan on turning the property into a sustainable industrial project.
They'll likely take ownership by the end of 2014. Currently the area is called the Itasca Eco Industrial Park.
Ainsworth closed in 2008.
