Cohasset Fire Affects Family of 9

On Sunday, around 2pm, the Itasca County Sheriff Department along with the Cohasset Fire Department- Grand Rapids Fire Department were called to 480 NW 3rd St. Cohasset, to a structure fire.
When law enforcement and fire personnel arrived the structure was engulfed with flames.
All occupants had exited the residence safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the fire may have been caused by a young child playing with a lighter.
The Red Cross said this affected a family of nine, including eight children from two months to 17 years of age.
Local Red Cross volunteer Becky Trudel of Grand Rapids met with the family Monday to assess their disaster-related needs.
Emergency housing is being provided by the family's insurer, according to Red Cross sources.
