16-year-old Injured in Hunting Accident

A 16-year-old Eveleth boy was hospitalized on Saturday morning after being accidentally shot by his brother.

Bryten and Baker Felix were duck hunting on Elbow Lake when their canoe rolled and started taking water.

Bryten Felix, 18, fell and accidentally discharged his shotgun. His younger brother, Baker, was shot in the knee. St. Louis County Sheriff's Department received the call at 7:34 a.m.

Baker Felix was transported by ambulance to Essentia Health - St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He is in stable condition.

St. Louis County Sheriff's Department says that Olaf Walkky, 18, of Britt, was also in the boat.
