Man Dead in Dairyland Fire

A man was found dead after firefighters extinguished a fire in southern Douglas County early Friday morning.
The fire in a camper trailer at 2978 East Knutson Road in the Town of Dairyland was reported at 2:30 a.m. The trailer was fully engulfed in flames when the personnel from Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Town of Dairyland Fire Department arrived on the scene.
The body of John J. Harris, 47, of Dairyland was found in the trailer after the fire was extinguished. His dog was also found dead.
The sheriff's office and the medical examiner's office are investigating the cause of death and the cause of the fire.
