Two men who will be on the crew of the USS Minnesota stopped by Eyewitness News on Thursday.

They're promoting the new fast-attack submarine, at the Duluth Air Show on Saturday.

The USS Minnesota is 10th in a class of 30, and will be the most advanced.

Two crew members stopped by channel 10. This will be their 3rd submarine of their careers.

They say the experience is unique.

"The primary mission of our submarine will be one of intelligence and surveillance," said Lt. Cmdr. John Witte, Executive Officer of the USS Minnesota.

"The best part for me, is the teamwork aspect. It's fantastic, you depend on person next to you so much," said Senior Chief Brandon Martin.

This is the fifth visit for the crew to Minnesota.

The sub will be christened next month, and ready for action in about a year.
