Minnesota's Secretary of State has a message for voters. Mark Ritchie says we are going to have have the biggest election in Minnesota history this November. Ritchie says this is a presidential year, that's always the largest. He also points out have a senate race and redistricting because our population has grown.
Ritchie told Eyewitness News that many states including Minnesota, have switched to a new election system called provisional balloting. The Secretary of State is concerned that, plus this year's redistricting and constitutional amendments may leave people in the dark.
Voters are never really shown on the ballot what they are voting on when it comes to a constitutional amendment. Ritchie is urging folks to check out new on-line tools at the Minnesota Secretary of State web site which guides voters through the changes.
