Hibbing Man Killed in Accident

A Hibbing man was killed in an accident on Saturday afternoon near French Township.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's office said 67-year-old Robert Swanger was driving on Highway 5 about 20 miles north of Hibbing. Authorities said he left the road and hit a tree.
The sheriff's office said Swanger was brought to the University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing. There, he died of his injuries.
The sheriff's office is still investigating the accident.
