Update: Victims' Names Released in Fatal Hwy. 53 Crash

Two International Falls residents died and two others from Illinois were injured in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 53 in northern St. Louis County on Thursday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol website, Riley Burnell, 24, and Natasha Burnell, 23, were killed. The website says Riley was the driver.
The crash happened at mile post 135, 25 miles south of International Falls, at 7:42 a.m.
A northbound pickup truck, driven by an Illinois man, crossed the centerline and struck the southbound car.
The driver of the pickup truck was critically injured and a passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
